Fried dumplings take me back to my childhood. My mum used to make them for us to enjoy and so did my uncle when he came over to visit from Jamaica. As an adult I still love them. Over the years, the recipe has been adapted. I find that baking gives the dumpling that extra fluffiness that it is known for.
This is something I love to eat as a snack or with breakfast. Fried dumplings are a traditional part of West Indian dishes. I find they are great with ackee, salt fish and callaloo (a type of spinach). They are also great with a fry up as well of you happen to run of hash brown or toast.
